With decades of experience working with service entrepreneurs generating $1M+ in revenue, I’ve seen firsthand that business success doesn’t always mean financial security. More revenue doesn’t guarantee more freedom unless you have the right strategy. Growth, profit, and cash flow don’t just happen, they require clarity, smart decisions, and the right support.

That’s where I come in. I help you create a clear financial strategy, optimise cash flow, and make confident decisions that lead to sustainable growth and true financial freedom, however that looks to you.

Paul’s role encompasses high-level tasks such as book-keeping, client software training and IT support.

Paul says he loves his role because: “Every day I get to work with people who both challenge me and make me happy.”

Outside of work, Paul adores fast cars. “Performance cars are a passion,” he says. “My family has a history of racing anything on wheels (cars or motorbikes).”

But that doesn’t mean he’s in a hurry. Paul and wife Karen have a clear set of goals in their personal and professional lives, with an end goal of having the ability to choose more leisure time over work time.

“I want to get to the point where I have freedom of choice in my life for things that matter,” he says.

After nearly nine years behind the scenes at The Gap (the accounting kind!), she decided it was time to work directly with clients. What really lights her up is business planning — mapping out what you want long-term and turning it into an achievable plan. Jen makes the numbers meaningful, so you can make smarter decisions for your future, not just stare at a bunch of reports.

She doesn’t just set and forget. Every 90 days, Jen checks in to track your progress, celebrate wins, and adjust if needed — all while keeping your data clean and accurate in your accounting software.

Jen joined Thrive after hearing about Karen’s work through a friend and realising it was exactly the kind of supportive, strategic advisory team she wanted to be part of. A catch-up coffee turned into a long chat, and the rest is history.

Outside work, Jen is mum to a 16-year-old son and a high-energy border collie. She’s up at 5am most days for an F45 session (yes, willingly!) and is a big music fan, always keen to catch a concert — even if she can’t sing a note herself.
